1st Greek Open Day

< 1 mn read

The 1st Greek Open Day was co-organized on June 17th 2023, by the two Greek partners of the project (Research University Institute of Communication & Computer Systems – ICCS, Agricultural University of Athens – AUA) and their Living Labs.

The meeting was organized as part of the Corinthia Expo exhibition (https://exkor.korinthiacc.gr/). The exhibition is held in Corinth, an area of significant agricultural importance for Greece. Although the prefecture of Corinth mainly focuses on crop production (famous products are grapes and wines) it has also large mountainous areas where sheep and goats are predominantly reared. Moreover, Corinth is an important crossroads for the Peloponnese as it connects it with mainland Greece. Peloponnese is characterized by a mountainous terrain and it has been traditionally an innovation hub for the rearing of sheep and goats and the creation of local dairy products of superior quality (traditional yoghurt, feta, sfela, mizithra, goat cheese, graviera, kefalotyri etc).

The Nano/bio and the ICT Living Labs were set-up in a shared kiosk in the exhibition.
