The APRIL project is developing a robotic system for complex manipulation of flexible or soft objects.
Such a system is also intende for the food sector where products (objects) are flexible/soft/of irregular shape.

April Project will run for a period of 40 months with a total budget of almost EUR 8 milion provided by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 framework programme for Research and Innovation (DT-FOF-12-2019: Handling systems for flexible materials, GA #870142).
The project is coordinated by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The consortium is composed by 15 European partners from 8 EU countries.
